Granola launched a dictation feature on Mac, the startup said. The tool is known for its meeting notetaker.

Users press the "Fn" key and start speaking. The tool cleans up and formats the speech, then posts the final text. The feature works across all apps, so users can take notes, dictate prompts, and reply to emails and messages. Granola said dictation is available on all plans without limits.

The company said the feature will come to iOS and Windows soon.

The report says Granola and Wispr are valued at $1.5 billion and $2 billion, respectively. Granola focuses on meeting-related automation and notetaking. Wispr, which launched a meeting notetaker months ago, is building its own models through a research lab that explores human-computer interfaces.

The report also says other voice startups, including Fireflies, Speechify, and Monologue, have combined meeting notetaking and dictation into multifeature apps.
